Training German Shepherd Dogs

What is the best book out there for basic training of the CSD?
What is the best book out there for basic training of German shepherd dogs? Mindy is 13 months and I live 100 miles away from any dog trainers. Welcome suggestions. Thanks!
I like book Winifred Strickland expert Obedience Training For Dogs. She is a breeder / trainer / GSD competitor and has won over 200 titles in obedience their dogs through the years. Go through all the basic elements in his book, and some nice things, but can be used to make databases easier. The book is for Obedience Training for competition, but all the training applies to life too. Below is a link to it on Amazon. If you order, make sure you have the fourth edition. It is the present. Books by The Monks of New Skete are "the art of raising a puppy" and "How to be your dog's best" friend. I own both. They are very good books and recommend them to all will receive a new puppy. It explains many behaviors that are often misinterpreted by the inexperienced dog owners. For works of obedience, I still go Winifred Strickland to book, but the monks of New Skete books large and so you can get cheap Amazon.
