What we want in a Dog Trainer or dog training class?

I have not really seen this problem asked here before. I am interested in a trainer / training in the classroom: Animals / moral / CGC training: Obedience Training for competition or rally and agility training dogs for field work / service / Guard Dogs. I know there are many good and bad infornation published here. I have curiosity about what people think and experience in training.

STARTER can be good for, but is best learned from a mentor or more in real situations.
