How to manage crate training a yorkie 3 months?

I read the Puppy Training "for Dummies" book. I had my dog and Valentine's Day. The book says you should follow the same schedule, including weekends if the dog does not get me wrong, but I'm doing wrong. I'm going to work at 8 am and return around12: 30 to start my lunch.
