Puppy Crate Training Schedule

What’s a good schedule for my puppy? crate training, feeding, exercise…etc.?
And I know I’m supposed to take him out every 2 hours to pee, but what if he pees inside in between those two. Then wouldn’t it disrupt the schedule?
I have a 2-month old poodle, and I got him yesterday, but I’m still unsure about the times at which I should feed him etc. and how to take care of him.
I’m getting his crate tomorrow though, so I want to know for how long I should keep him in there and how frequent.
When I wake up, do I get him from his crate and take him to my patio to pee? (I live in a 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor) Then exercise him for 15 minutes, then feed him then put him back in his crate and wait for 10 minutes to let him pee again?
Or what?
What was YOUR schedule for your dogs when they were puppies?
I took my dogs out every hour, not every two, when they were puppies. This worked really well and they hardly had any accidents, and they were all housebroken fast. If he does have an accident in between the times when you plan to take him out, count from the time he went. Another good thing to do is to try to figure out how long it takes him to poop after he’s eaten, so you’ll be able to know when he’ll need to go out.
Keep him in his crate whenever no one is home and all night. Eventually he’ll start lying in it when he wants to during the day. Take him out as soon as you wake up and before you go to bed.
Keep him on a regular feeding schedule, never leave food out for him all day. This way he won’t need to poop all day! Since he’s a puppy, he’ll need to eat 3 times a day, and when he’s older (a year and a half or so) you can start feeding twice a day. So pick 3 times a day – morning, afternoon, and night – when you will feed him and stick to it. I feed my three adult dogs twice a day, at 6:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
HTH and good luck with your new dog!
