What is a good age to start obedience training for a puppy?

We just adopted a shelter pup and she’s about 3 months old. What is a good age to take her to obedience training? Also… any tips on how to keep her from jumping up on people? She does it when she’s excited and she knocks my son down or get people muddy……thanks

now for the obedience training. as to the jumping on people turn you back on the puppy do not speak to him. have your son do the same thing. the training will help him a lot also look in to agility training.
