Labrador Training

Training a 1 year old female yellow labrador retriever?
well, here’s the story. We purchased a Female Yellow Labrador Retriever 8 months ago. In other words, she is only 4 months old when purchased. She is very cute, friendly, crazy and intelligent. But her intelligence is useless because of her untrained mind.
Of all the skills that I want to teach, is to POTTY TRAIN her. I want her to alarm us if she need to potty.
Secondly, is to remove her bad trait which is to destroy things.
Please help me
Here is a golden rule I have used for years … Normally most dogs will need to go out to potty within 20 minutes after eating a meal and or drinking. (This is just a base time… some a little sooner some a little later, use this as a guide.
I don’t leave their food and water down for her at free will … Monitor it by giving your dog 15 minutes to eat. Pick up her food & water bowls.
If you control when her intake is, then you can control ( and train ) her Out Put is. And know when she needs to go potty. This could be helpful in training.
While training, her to go out, take her to the area where you want her to go potty. Then you will not have to retrain her to go where you want her to go potty.
I think by using crate training methods are very effective.
Here are 2 other tips that will really be helpful to you.
Make training fun. Please never never never scold a animal for having a accident. Pooping and Peeing is going to happen with all pets. They just need to be taught where to go potty. That’s all. I will never agree being mean to anything. Find it hard to believe, it will make them mind. ” The dog isn’t being bad.
I normally try my best to work with my dog’s trainning time before she eats too, just as an added note.)
I hope this helps you
