Labrador Training

Can a regular chocolate labrador be trained to point pheasants?

I know there are labradors that are breed to point but if you had just a regular labrador with no pointing instinct could you train it to point?

Im sure any dog could be trained to ‘point’, but buying a dog that has the better instinct would be better, like a Spaniel. I couldn’t imagine training a Bulldog to point, lol. Where would he be pointing to? He has no nose (:
