German Shepherd Ears

When will a German Shepherds ears start to stand erect on their own?
I have a 9 week old pure breed german shepherd and her ears stand up sometimes, they go up and down. Both of her parents ears stood up, and both parents are akc registered and she is too. When did your dogs ears stand up on their own?
I never asked this question before?
that is the fun of owning a GSD one day one ear is up the next both are up and then they form a teepee, if there is no larger dog with your pup to roughhouse him and pull on his tender ears they should be up at about 3 months of age but if at 5 months of age you see that his ears are still having a hard time standing erect then you may need to intervene to help if you just assume that all pups will have their ears standing you may have a dog with one ear up and the other floppy, sometimes they are just too heavy and they keep shaking them back down.
I have used in the past a system that really helps go to tractor supply and buy the “tear mender glue”
buy some soft rollers about medium size i use the black rollers from “Sally’s” put some glue on the roller place the roller inside the ear fold the outer ear flaps around the ear and it’s done, the ear will look like a teepee with a roller inside, it is very comfortable and the glue is non toxic and will come off by itself in about 2 weeks in which time it has trained the ear to stand erect. remember only if at 5 months you see that he is having problems with his ear.
I just did it on my pup when at 5 months he was having the same problem, he now holds his ears more erect than his momma.
