Does anyone have helpful tips and basic training for the puppy?

Hello everyone! My husband and I just adopted a German shepherd puppy And Rottweiler mix. We want to be trained to do basic things (rest, sit, stay, heel, lay down and so on) as soon as possible. tips or advice would be great. Thanks to all who responded. Be firm. Dogs learning not to be babied all the time. Discipline is a good thing when the dog does something wrong. Of course, reward when he does something good too. Treats are always a good first reward system with new orders, but you will later in their training, should use the voice more praise and a reward for your dog to listen to you even if you do not receive treatment. Be the pack leader. Be consistent, calm and stick with it.
