Dogs Potty Training

My dogs Potty Training is reversing?!?
My dog is 5 years old and all of a sudden is peeing next to the cat bowl and in places she’s not allowed to go. She’s probably doing it out of jealousy trying to claim her territory. I normally giver her a swat put her nose in it and say bad girl then put her in time out. It’s happening every day and I really dont know what else to do?
First she should be checked for a physical problem, like a urinary tract infection.
Try feeding her where she is going to the bathroom. Dogs don’t like to eat where they go to the bathroom, so if she knows she is being fed there she may stop choosing that spot. I would keep her on a leash tethered to me so you can catch her. Never hit them, or they learn that doing it in front of you is bad and will start hiding to do it. Really reward her when she goes outside. She needs supervision whenever she is loose in the house.
I don’t know why people don’t keep dogs, that aren’t trustworthy, on a leash in the house. It solves so many problems. You have control at all times and can catch good and bad behaviour immediately. A dog needs to be caught within 3 seconds of the act or they have no idea what they did wrong or right.
